• Ran the Marathon de Sables, a 150 mile    footrace across the Sahara Desert in 7 days  • Ran Badwater 135, 135 miles non-stop    through Death Valley  • Carried the Olympic Torch as it traveled    across the US on its way to Georgia for    the 2002 Olympic Games  • Ran the Solo Run Across Iowa, 374 miles    in 9.5 days  • Ran the Gobi March, 150 mile footrace    across the Gobi Desert in 7 days  • Ran the Atacama Crossing (150 mile    footrace across Atacama Desert) in 7 days

Crocs Inc. and Outside Magazine congratulate Rusty Bishop, Inspiring Soles™ Grand Prize Winner. Rusty Bishop gave a 2-year old girl, who was in need of a transplant, a second chance at life. A proactive leader in the Iowa community, Rusty not only donated his own bone marrow to help someone in need, but also continues his support through a variety of efforts. Rusty encourages people to donate to the National Marrow Donor Program registry, persists in running races around the world to raise awareness for cancer, and provides fundraising efforts for the Iowa Marrow Donor Program.
